Overview
Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church was founded April 4, 1999 by Bishop Freddrick A. Hardy, Sr., Montgomery, Alabama. Faith Full Gospel began its organizational operations in the home of Pastor Hardy and evolved to a 3,000 square foot store-front facility located in historic downtown Montgomery with a membership of 200.
In 2004, Faith Full Gospel took God at His Word and acquired the former Highland Avenue Baptist Church. This acquisition became the new home of Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church—an 89,000 square foot facility with a membership of 700 and growing. It was in the beginning, and remains the vision of Bishop Hardy to establish a ministry of disciples who would walk by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7)…Faith Walkers who would be Salt and Light to the community and the world at large (Matthew 5:13-14) fulfilling God’s assignment to make other disciples as they go (Matthew 28:18-20).

WHAT IS THE NEHEMIAH PROJECT?
Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church recognizes the great opportunity presented to us as viable partners in the
community and our responsibility to serve. As such, we have established a fundraising mechanism to initiate renovations of the East Wing of the church building to be used for the support of the community at large.
The Nehemiah Project is based on Nehemiah 2:18, “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build.” The Nehemiah Project seeks to rise up and build—not only the physical edifice of the building, but the beautiful and thriving community surrounding it.

How will the efforts of the Nehemiah Project impact the community?
The Highland Park Community, established in the late 1800’s, is rich in history and culture. Although many resources exist in the area, there still remain significant gaps to be filled. The Nehemiah Project, with the construction of its Faith Life Center, will be instrumental in filling the existing gaps for the betterment of the community and its citizenry.
In Alabama, with a population of over 4.4 million, only 44% of households have a computer in the home, with only 38% having Internet access, and the number decreases with lower income households. The Nehemiah Project seeks to bridge the gap of the digital divide that exists according to Hosea 4:6, “My people perish from a lack of knowledge”.
Montgomery County’s school drop out rate increased from 2.5% in 2009 to 7.9% in 2010 (State of AL Dept. of Education, 2010) ; national suicide rates for youths age 15-24 were 10% (U.S. Suicide Statistics, 2005); and the total arrests made in Montgomery County in 2009, the majority were committed by black males age 18-24 (AL Criminal Justice Info. Ctr, 2009). The Nehemiah Project seeks to make a difference in the lives of our youth according to Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
